Function Testing Workstation

Fire Alarm Function Testing Workstation

Simulate activating the devices in your design and watch the notification appliances respond in real time — flashing strobes, evacuation tones, and live status updates. A safe way to understand cause-and-effect before you're on the jobsite.

Simulation for training only. Real fire alarm testing must follow the manufacturer's instructions, NFPA 72, and your AHJ — and must never be performed on a live system without proper notification and authorization.

TROUBLE: GROUND FAULT

IDC ZONE 3 · FRI 16:20 · UNACKNOWLEDGED

What you find on arrival

You arrive and the panel shows a GROUND FAULT trouble on Zone 3. The trouble LED is lit, the buzzer is sounding, and nobody has acknowledged it. Zone 3 covers the second-floor east corridor and two tenant suites. The manager mentions a plumbing contractor worked above the corridor ceiling on Friday.

What do you do?

The building is occupied and the panel is in trouble, not alarm. What do you do, and in what order?
